I'd gotten "thirsty" for some rainy days during these dry years, and God filled my cup this past week.
We had days of steady, soaking rain. The thunder rumbled... off in the distance. We turned on the lamps, and enjoyed some quiet afternoons. I napped on the sofa with a soft pillow one day; another, I piddled around in my room with some of my pretty tea things. We went to sleep to the sound of rain, and woke up to it.
It was so good to have the Lord provide, so abundantly, a need only He could meet.

I love the rain... but I don't love gray days with nothing forthcoming. I'm so thankful for the smattering of sunshine we've had in between - I needed that SO MUCH!
Can you believe it's supposed to be in the freezing temps again this week? Crazy!
My tendency is to complain about the weather more than I express gratitude, something I had to repent of just today. The rain is a gift directly from God, just as you said, and just now it is a much needed one!
