Daily delight

We've really enjoyed our "2009 Beautiful Blessings" Lang calendar. It was a bit of a splurge earlier this year, but it's been worth it just for the daily delight of a pretty sight!
The paintings are by Shelly Reeves Smith -- such inviting scenes, done with lovely soft colors, and completed with Scriptures in graceful calligraphy. We have it taped to the refrigerator, so we can see it often. :)

Another sight I'm enjoying daily is just visible on the left... our "new" window coverings in the pantry. The shutters were re-purposed, and my mother stitched the blue & white striped & checked valance earlier this year. I think it gives our pantry a fresh cottage-y look.

And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 3:13

I had one of those calendars in our kitchen a couple of years ago. I think we bought it at Cracker Barrel? They are all very pretty - in fact, I saved some of the pictures and put magnets on the back (I used advertising magnets, sent in the mail), and I display them on the side of the fridge seasonally.

Our fridge is too "busy" and looks very cluttered, but I love everything that's on it. :) It's a happy, cluttered fridge! :)
