Our American celebration

Our family celebrated the great blessings of our American heritage quietly at home, with
  • a lovely Independence Day bouquet,
  • some "new" thrifted festive clothes (my red tee proclaimed "Freedom"!),
  • hamburgers, hot dogs, and sweet, ripe watermelon,
  • quiet hours assembling a patriotic puzzle (finished on the 5th!), and
  • televised concerts and fireworks.

The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
I will bless the LORD, . . .

Where liberty dwells

Now the Lord is that Spirit:
and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
II Corinthians 3:17

Spring tea

Our weather this spring has alternated between quite hot and quite chilly.  Chilly days in late spring are a special treat where I live, and this year, I had been given a perfect gift for a chilly spring day.

Jasmine scented flowering tea . . . just lovely!

O taste and see that the LORD is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
